There are so many questions when it comes to breastfeeding. As a pre & postnatal exercise specialist, I often get asked “Will exercise affect my milk supply?” In this segment, I share my opinions on this, as well as some other tips & tricks I’ve learned on my postnatal journey, like dealing with clogged ducts and nursing in public.
Please share your comments and questions in the section below. I’d love to hear what you’ve done in these situations.

I like you but that video was not helpful
I don't know why why I gain too much weight now after delivering plz
Plz tell me I'm 30day old deliver a baby can do some exercise or workout now can you tell m plz when I strt workout ❤
Doesn’t it come down to calories ? You can exercise and still eat enough and keep your supply right? It’s similar to women who workout too much and lose their Period because they aren’t getting enough calories. Hormone are sensitive to calories, not necessarily exercise.
Thank you for these great tips and advice, exactly what new moms need if they are worried about exercising and breastfeeding.
I lost a lot of weight during my pregnancy and then more while breastfeeding. a total of about 30 pounds when it was all said and done. My little man is 6 months now, and I am going to try to get to that one year mark. we had a rough, rough start, I had thrush, he had a tongue tie… we are good now. But I find I AM STARVING ALL THE TIME. It's like I can't be fed. I keep telling myself that I need to try to eat something that looks somewhat like my normal so that when I start to wean him I don't keep eating this much because I don't want to gain that weight back. But my lord – I am so hungry. I have a big breakfast, then a mid morning snack because I am hungry, then lunch and a snack then a big dinner and I am hungry like an hour after. It's insane
Hy sara I need your help please help me I have 3 month old baby and my weight too much gain. now I have 70 kg how can I loose can I go zumba plz reply plz…….😥😥😥😥😥
Very nice video that confort me about the way my body "talk" to me haha my baby is 6 months old now and i actually didnt loose or gain weight. I was before giving birth 63 kg, after giving birth like 3 days post partum i was 58 kg. And now without any exercice and only breastfeeding i was 58 until this month where i loose a bit im 56 without reason. So i decided that i will just wait until im done breastfeeding to start working out. And the weirdest for me was the way my belly and everything inside was coming back to it's place itself, i had a struggle with all the sensations and almost couldnt touch my belly.. Postpartum is a long process we should just take time for ourself and the baby and not carrying about the house and the way we look !! So thank you for saying all those things 😍
Madam can i wrap the cloth on stomach to reduce the stomach? I have 1 montht baby plz tell me is its need time?
Sara, this video was extremely helpful for me! I've been working out pretty hard for a few months now (1yr postpartum) probably about the past 3 or 4 months and the scale has no budged. At all.. Still nursing pretty round the clock, and kept wondering why my body has been refusing to drop the last 10lbs I need to lose. You definitely helped to clarify this! I gained 31lbs with my pregnancy and within the first 2 weeks I lost basically all of it, but around 4 or 5 months pp I gained back 10lbs from needing all those added calories. Needless to say, it's been impossible to rid those pounds. I dont wanna lose my supply for a few more months, so I suppose that's a good thing I'm not dropping the weight? Also have diastasis recti, so I still have a pooch from that too. sigh so thanks for posting this, i did very much find it helpful!
I am glad I found this. I started working out after 10 weeks. Baby is 5 months. I am losing too much weight. I workout 3-5× a week. No more than 30 minutes and as little as 5 minute circuits/tabata/HIIT. I eat 3000 calories most days and I am always hungry. I still have the lower abdomen fat and pooch. This is my 3rd child and the youngest are 22 months apart…so I am semi ok with that. I eat lots of protein, leanish fatty and fiber rich foods also. And I recently returned to work PT, that is physically demanding. Any suggestions?
Hi, my baby is 8 months old, I am nursing and doing workout too, but not losing weight. As I am nursing I am not having my monthly cycles from last 7 months. What should I doo to lose weight
such a great video! these are things that ran through my mind while breastfeeding. the weight has always been my struggle with pregnancy. great info to know!
thank you for this video
thank Sara thanks so much for answers….you so helpful to me and so kind and good parson thanks a lot 😊😗✌
Thank you for this awesome, real advice. My question is, would it reduce milk supply if I did some weight lifting to get strong while breastfeeding as well as eating as normally.
I was getting low on milk supply and used to drinking healthy nursing tea to increase it. It worked well and got my supply boosted.
Love this video about breastfeeding while staying fit! xoxo
