कोरोना संक्रमण का नया वैरिएंट ओमिक्रॉन भयावह रूप धारण करता जा रहा है. अब हालात ये हैं कि रोजाना ओमिक्रॉन के केसों में बेहताशा वृद्धि हो रही है. तमिलनाडु में ओमिक्रॉन संक्रमण का विस्फोट हो गया है. यहां ओमिक्रॉन के 34 नए संक्रमित सामने आए हैं. जबकि 23 लोगों के जीनोम सीक्वेंसिग के लिए भेजे गए हैं, जिनका परिणाम आना अभी बाकी है. हालांकि सभी मरीजों को आइसोलेशन में रखा गया. ओमिक्रॉन के इतने केस मिलने पर स्वास्थ्य विभाग अलर्ट हो गया है. देश में अब तक ओमिक्रॉन के 300 मरीज सामने आ चुके हैं. कोरोना के बढ़ते मामलों की समीक्षा बैठक के लिए सचिवालय मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल पहुंचे, जहां दिल्ली में कोरोना के हालात पर मंथन किया जाएगा.

As Omicron cases steadily rise in the national capital, the Delhi government today banned all gatherings to celebrate Christmas and New Year. Cultural events were also prohibited on a day Delhi recorded 125 Covid new cases, the highest in six months.

All social, political, sports, entertainment, cultural, religious, and festival-related gatherings are banned. Banquet Halls can’t function except for meetings, conferences, marriages, and exhibitions, that too with riders.
