Life with a Belgian Malinois as a pet is very different than life with other dogs. We dedicate a significant amount of time stimulating our Mal’s body and mind through exercise, training, play, and developing the off switch.
Our schedule is consistent. We dedicate about 2 hours everyday to training & exercise. Sessions include going out in the field to play and train, playing tug and building drive, training obedience at home, doing scent work games at home, and just doing normal *dog* stuff… letting the dog be a dog!

I just got my Malinois puppy. Defensively subscribing!! Thank you for sharing! Working on trying to find a good schedule for us right now!
Awesome video and some great tips!
Love your videos! My husband and I have a 1.5 year old Malinois, "Keet". I agree what you say about the active rhythm of life with a Malinois. We also do a lot of brain work games. We love it, sometimes it's tough. In the Netherlands, the e-collar will be banned in July 2021. She can't be off-leash now, because she chases cars, animals, bicycles despite a lot of training with a long line etc. We are now considering e-collar training before July.
In which situations do you use the e-collar? Do you recognize the prey drive problems with Ryka?
I love the name Ryka for your pup. A great fit
Nice job 👍
Love it! Stella and I have similar routine and building up that crate/place time. Love working on the off switch as much as I work the run around and training. An other great vid!
